Based in Daajing Giids, we're a managed IT provider built for Haida Gwaii. We serve as the full IT department for our clients, covering service desk support, network management, security, software, and infrastructure. Our technicians live on the islands. That means we know the communities we support, we understand the infrastructure they run on, and when something needs to be resolved in person, we're already here.
Our story
Northern Rogue Technologies was founded on January 15, 2020 to fill a gap: a managed IT practice with on-island technicians. We work primarily as the IT department for organizations that don't have one of their own. We serve the communities we live in, and that shapes how we work: caring, responsive, straightforward, and with an understanding of what it actually means to operate in a remote part of the world.

Devin Rawlek
CEO & Founder
Devin and his wife moved to Haida Gwaii for the stunning scenery and laid-back lifestyle. It didn't take long for him to notice a need for reliable IT support on the islands. With nearly 20 years of experience, Devin set out to fill that gap, building Northern Rogue Technologies Inc. to bring professional and dependable tech solutions to the community.
When he's not solving tech problems, Devin enjoys exploring the beauty of Haida Gwaii and soaking in everything island life has to offer.
Dan Bressers
Systems Administrator
Dan brings over 25 years of IT experience to Northern Rogue Technologies, specializing in system administration, cloud solutions, and network infrastructure. Working remotely from Calgary, he keeps businesses connected, secure, and efficient.
Though based off-island, Dan owns a home in Sandspit and appreciates the unique lifestyle of Haida Gwaii.
When he's not solving technical challenges, he enjoys fine-tuning his home lab and staying ahead of the latest tech innovations.
Chris Jamieson
Systems Administrator
Chris brings 20 years of experience in technology and communications to Northern Rogue Technologies. His expertise spans computer hardware, software systems, and both wireline and wireless communications, serving field, residential, and business environments.
Chris embodies the spirit of Haida Gwaii living, maintaining a healthy work-life balance while embracing the archipelago's natural beauty through hiking, fishing, and various outdoor activities that make these islands such a special place to call home.
Ryan Thorgeirson
Systems Administrator
Ryan brings nearly 20 years of IT experience to Northern Rogue Technologies, driven by a lifelong passion for technology and learning. Born and raised on Haida Gwaii, he has supported the islands' communities with reliable IT solutions across network infrastructure, hardware, software, security, and support.
With six generations of family roots on Haida Gwaii, Ryan embraces the island lifestyle through fishing, hunting, and exploring its rugged beauty. In his spare time, he enjoys video games, Dungeons & Dragons, and serves the Masset community as Deputy Fire Chief.
